13 Victoria Street, Hawera, South Taranaki, Taranki, New Zealand
They say true perfection takes 100 years but for Paul and Brenda it only took 30! It was obvious from the moment we entered their home that no expense had been spared and no stone left unturned in creating this elegant contemporary colonial masterpiece. But even more importantly it still maintains that warm and welcoming feel and you instantly knew this is a family home and as they say if walls could talk I’m sure they would tell us about large family gatherings, kids birthday parties and dinner parties with friends as the varying living spaces provide the perfect spots for such occasions.
Without a doubt this property is one of Hawera’s most admired and most iconic homes and built on arguably our town’s only hill this home is set on an elevated site with commanding views over the surrounding homes and the mountains to the east and Mt Egmont to the north.
It is clear that a lot of thought and attention to detail has gone into the interior of this home but you will be equally amazed and pleasantly surprised at the quality of the outside with manicured lawn and gardens, various outdoor entertaining areas and all complemented by attractive red chimney brick walls and edging. Elegant box hedging and maturing trees provide perfect backdrops for summer BBQs or quiet wines!
Inside this captivating home we were immediately impressed with the warm spacious living areas and extra-large bedrooms with all areas maintaining the classy Victorian heritage look and feel throughout. Tastefully put together rooms all with exposed heart Rimu beams and trims with the most perfectly chosen decor gives each room its own style and character.
There is so much to love about this property and so much to admire. Everything about it impresses and oozes quality whilst not losing that homely comfortable feel we all strive for in our home.
Simply put this calibre of property generally doesn’t exist anymore and is a real testament to the owners of this unique Hawera home
